"Shine the Light" is the area where students and colleagues can share their stories!
These are the short stories that amazed me as a student during my massage training at Chesapeake College. I was always so amazed at our excitement each and every time that we learned something new pertaining to massage...There was always such a flood of energy when the newest technique was taught to us. We couldn't wait to try it out.
Another interesting and exciting time was preparing for clinic...Man!, by that time we knew we had hit pay dirt....to actually put into motion all the things that we had learned and what we would use out in the real world. Scary and thrilling at the same time. The fun and the fear was to see if we could physically handle the number of clients who would be relying on us to showcase our skills.
Lastly, knowing that in the process that we would be critiqued helped to prepare us for the reactions of the real world. All I can say is that I had fun and now that I'm out in the working world, I am enjoying life!
